THE ISLAND DEBATE, TERRA NOVA-ED!

An NWN shout-out to Edward Castronova of Terra Nova, the must-visit blog for professors and other deep thinkers who want to discuss the future of MMOGs, and all the economic/
philosophical/political issues they provoke. (Professor Ed wrote a landmark academic paper on the economies of online worlds, and teaches the subject at Cal State Fullerton.) Anyway, Terra Nova just linked New World Notes' story on the debate (covered here and here) over Fizik Baskerville's purchase of Avalon island. So here's a forum for Lifers, Terra Nova vistors, and everyone else who's interested, to congregate and discuss the story, and all the issues it provoked. (Of course, the forum at TN is also worth a gander, as well.)
