GATHER 'ROUND THE VARNEY TREE

I get sense that NWN gives out the impression that resident projects are overwhelmingly architectural, mechanical, or otherwise artificial in nature. (Though I did spend quite a bit of time in Higbee Protagonist's terra-formed nature preserve, a couple months ago.) Thing is, that's really not the case, because there's an abundance of terraform projects going on throughout the world, and though they may not always grab one's attention like, say, a giant skyscraper, just as much artistry and care (or even more) can go into their construction.

Then again, a giant platform-studded tree, like Lain Kothari's in Varney, is hard to ignore. And I'll make it a milestone: from this day forward, I promise to make more effort to give the natural world of SL its due.

I like the varney tree, very spiral-like and windswept. Great scale. That being said, what was that knock against 'scrapers!! Why you...

Kidding.

I thought you always gave the natural parts of SL their due, as I recall articles on preserves and other terraform projects. It isn't like you ignore it entirely, Hamlet.

Thanks! It's just that I know there's a lot
more in here that I *should* be taking more of
a look at.

Speaking of which, just heard from Lain, with
the story of his tree-- more to come tomorrow.
